The San Diego Comic-Con is here. The annual gathering has become a must-attend event for geeks, with thousands on hand to attend panels and screenings for Marvel, Game of Thrones, and others. But with badges sold out in just over an hour, not everyone is in a position to enter. Do not despair, nerds. There are many events outside the convention center – and you do not need a pass to attend.
Activation of Comic-Con
Each year, studios and brands set up elaborate activations right in front of the convention center, and these unique experiences can be as attractive as anything Comic-Con does. This year's activations include:
Amazon Prime Video Experience will feature new subversive superhero series The Boys, Noir Fantasy Carnival Row, and The Expanse. 18.-21. July on the MLK promenade and 1st street.
South Park Bigger Longer Uncut The Mini Golf Activation is a 9-hole miniature golf course celebrating the 20th anniversary of the show. From the 18th to the 21st of July at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (200 Harbor Dr. # 120), right across from the convention center.
Brooklyn Nine Nine Experience, In the fans have the opportunity to test their skills to join the 99th district. From the 18th to the 21st of July on Gaslamp Square in front of Tin Fish Restaurant.
Superstore Cloud 9 Popup offers fans exclusive content, custom photo ops and giveaways in the Cloud 9 department store. From the 18th to the 21st of July in the main lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel.
The Good Place Diner – The Interdimensional Hole of the Pancakes where the Hard Rock Hotel's dinner is transformed into a dinner consisting of realms and guests to enjoy a theme dinner. July 18-21 at Maryjane's Diner at the Hard Rock Hotel. Activations for American Horror Story: In 1984, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer and What We Do in the Shadows.

Ripley's believe it or not! Car Lot in Petco Park, where you'll find some of the strangest vehicles you can buy for money. Open from the 18th to the 21st of July from 10am to 6pm. (Sunday, 5 pm).
Fans Can Also Watch HBO Watchmen Activation The Twilight Zone Experience, the Warner Bros. Experience, DeadQuarters (official fan zone for The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead ) and the Fox Fan Fair.
The SDCC continues late into the night with numerous parties, many of which require an invitation or a paid ticket. But a few are free.
Amazon hosts parties for The Boys and Carnival Row . Both are sold out, but additional guests may be admitted if capacity permits. Registration for Star Wars: The Old Republic SDCC Cantina is now closed at 19:00 on 20 July. However, it may happen that a registration on foot is possible.
You can also attend the free Comic-Con After Party on July 20 at Sky Mountain's (369 Tenth Ave) at 8pm. There is also the unofficial blog Pacey-Con of the Comic-Con of San Diego, which takes place on 21 July from 18 to 20 clock. at the Dublin (554 Fourth Ave). Open to all ages and free to visit. The Pop Insider hosts the Legion M Fan Lounge in the Chocolate Lounge and the Rooftop Bar of the Theater Box (701 Fifth Ave), including a potterhead party for Harry Potter fans on July 21st from 3pm to 6pm. with an appearance of Fantastic Beasts star Dan Fogler. Your Fashion Show in the Universe
At the fashion show Her Universe, hosted by Hot Topic, you can find out about the latest developments in geek fashion. Designers will fight to win a Her Universe fashion collection. Admission is free but space is limited. The lineup starts at 1 pm.

Artist Loft, BarrioHaus
New at Comic-Con this year is the Artist Loft in BarrioHouse Free Panels focusing on Latinx culture and contributions to popular art. Take a look at the schedule here.

From Thursday to Sunday you drive to Balboa Park around the Pop Visit the Comic-Con Museum. Exhibits include The Batman Experience, an interactive, immersive experience featuring Batman comics, art, games, props, and vehicles. Free entry. You can also take part in a free Paint Like Bob Ross course.
The museum also hosts several free panels, including a discussion on the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters and a conversation with Sonia Manzano – also known as Mary of the Sesame Street. For details, see the Comic-Con schedule.

Comic Conference for Educators and Librarians
The San Diego Public Library is hosting a series of free panels for educators and librarians from July 17 to 21, which will host the classrooms and libraries. In addition, a number of publisher panels will include topics such as "Feminist Comics That Rock" with author Raina Telgemeier and "LGBTQ + YA Graphic Novels" with artist Sarah Graley. The events are free of charge but advance booking is required.
