Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book will miss Saturday's game against Florida State after suffering a rib injury to Northwestern last week.

Brandon Wimbush begins in the place of Book, a role he had at the beginning of the year.
Wimbush launched the first three games of the season against Michigan, Ball State and Vanderbilt. 76 pass for 589 yards, a touchdown and four interceptions. His percentage of completion of 55.3 points is very different from Book's 74.5, which represents the nation's best degree of completion.

During the 24/16 victory, he threw three interceptions with zero touchdowns, which put Ball State in the hands of the Irish.

After three sub-par appearances, Book took over the starting job and led the Fighting Irish to third place and ultimately the semi-finals of the playoffs. He dominated at the first start against Wake Forest. 34 pass for 325 yards and two touchdowns during the victory.  The absence of books could help the state of Florida, but Notre Dame is still a tough opponent. The Seminoles and Irish arrive at 19:30.
