Fyre Festival Subpoenas: Kendall Jenner, Top Models Filed in Bankruptcy of the Fyre Festival

Over $ 1

50,000 collected for Fyre Festival caterers

Celebrities and top models such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and their missions can be summoned for attending the convicted Fyre Festival .

The models and so-called social influencers promoted what had been announced as a VIP music festival on an island in the Bahamas and helped generate Buzz and sell tickets for the 2018 event. It was canceled at the last moment and stranded hundreds of people who had flown in for the concert.

The models and celebrities played a prominent role in the commercialization of Fyre Fest. Festival organizer Billy McFarland and members of his team made videos of how they romped on yachts and sipped cocktails at the alleged venue of an exclusive music festival.

But the event broke out into chaos when the facilities were not completed on time and guests spent the night in rain-soaked tents and with insufficient access to food and water.

Fyre Festival LLC filed for bankruptcy in July 2017 because it could not pay its sellers and other creditors. McFarland is now serving a six-year prison term for $ 27.4 million of fraud. He and his business partner, rapper Ja Rule (whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins), also faced a $ 100 million class action lawsuit in connection with Fyre Fest. Atkins has claimed on Twitter that he never earned money from the event and was "bamboozled".

The models, along with influencers and music artists who were scheduled to perform, paid $ 5.3 million in advance of the event as court records prove.

Kendall Jenner has been documenting evidence that they paid $ 275,000 for the event. She is represented by DNA Models, the same agency that represents Emily Ratajkowski. Ratajkowski earned $ 299,000 for her work with the Fyre Festival, according to court records, Billboard reported.
