Looking back on seven days of news and headlines in the Android world, this week's Android Circuit includes a Galaxy Note 10 Fold concept, a Galaxy S10e review , Galaxy Fold launch dates, Nokia 9 PureView camera launch, a closer look at the OnePlus 7, Xiaomi's quarterly results, and an important user interface change in Android Q.

Galaxy Note Fold Concept

If this is the Galaxy Note Fold, it's unlikely The final form, but the Galaxy Fold is probably not Samsung's only foldable smartphone, so a larger version of Samsung's e. g., visualized by Samsung's own patents from the Lets Go Digital team, could have been Its patents are a foldable phablet for later this year to be released this week:

The patent was filed two years ago, and a published patent is not an indication that any technology will reach the market. However, Samsung has a long history of experimenting with technology and patent designs for commercial use (as Apple did with its retention technology). I think with more than one foldable handset to hit the market this year, I doubt everyone will have the same design as the Fold.

If you're wondering about it, keep in mind that the Galaxy Fold fits the Galaxy S1

0 family. If Samsung still wants to establish itself as a folding telephone expert, this design would work very well next to the supposedly mentioned grade 10 … someone for a Galaxy Fold Note?

Galaxy S10e review, ignoring the camera

Of the three regular Galaxy S10 models: the Galaxy S10e is the "new" handset. The models S10 and S10 Plus have a clear line to older models. How is it going with the reviewers? If you're not set for a high-end camera, the S10e could be a great driver.

To be fair to Samsung, the Galaxy S10e would have cost much more if it had a triple camera or a sweeping display, and the company had to make some sacrifices to reach the $ 750 S10e award. And it's probably not easy to decide which features make the cut and which do not. So I do not envy the people at Samsung who have to make those decisions.

Release date for Galaxy Fold confirmed

The British airline EE has confirmed that it will release the Samsung Galaxy Fold in the UK. Pre-orders will be opened on April 26th and will be available on May 3rd. This data corresponds to the US launch of AT & T, as Jessica Dolcourt noted:

At $ 1,980, the Fold is twice the entry-level price of the Galaxy Note 9 or iPhone XS. When Samsung Mobile SVO Justin Denison announced the price of the Galaxy Fold, the presentation room shook with audible gasps and moans (but I'm not surprised).

SamsungDenison did not persuade it, but he did use the pump as a "luxury device". British and Australian prices have not been announced, but the US price is converted to around £ 1,500 or $ 2,800.

Nokia 9 Fights the Historic Camera Shootout

Nokia 9 from HMD Global also comes with the brand name "PureView". Combined with a series of breakthrough Nokia smartphones, the company has signaled an innovation in imaging every time it's launched. How is the Nokia 9 PureView Cop with the other PureView handheld devices of the past? Steve Litchfiled introduces it to the Nokia 808, Lumia 1020, and Nokia 950:

It's worth noting that I test all of these tests more or less on the car (apart from activating Flash for the last test and using & #; 39; & bokeh # 39). Mode on the Nokia 9 for the flower test). I mention that because some reviewers from Nokia 9 have pointed out that the RAW output is much better without any problems with sharpening or noise. Which is … true, and I'll probably come back to it in a future feature, but it should be noted that ALL top phone cameras produce cleaner photos when you record in RAW and then play around in Lightroom or the like. The Lumia 1020 and 950 can capture in RAW in the same way as the Nokia 9, parallel to the JPG. The playing field should stay the same here. The Nokia 9 has the power to run Lightroom on the phone itself, if you know what – to be honest – is a new twist.

A Closer Look at the OnePlus 7

The Geekerati are sure they will have a three-lens camera, a pop-up auto camera and a multi-colored case, but what will the OnePlus 7 look like? Something like this:

Bringing together all the latest information, including the current protective case design, color gradients, and camera layout of the Oppo F11 Pro, the Concept Creator team has created the best look ever seen on the handset.

Although this is an unofficial rendering, it highlights the key details that I think OnePlus will be experiencing before the end of the second quarter of 2019.

Xiaomi Promising Quarter

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi outperformed estimates with Q4 figures and increased net profit, though sales were slightly below expectations. Promising for the company are the increasing deliveries outside of China, especially in Europe. Rita Liao reports:

Xiaomi has worked out overseas markets in his recent earnings report. The segment grew by 118.1 percent to 40 percent of its total revenue in the fourth quarter, compared to only 28 percent in the same period last year. Xiaomi was particularly well-received in India, where it has a leading position in smart phone shipping, according to research firm Canalys, and has grown rapidly in Western Europe.

And finally …

In Android Q, there is a big UI change. Yes, you can decide in which direction you can remove notification alerts! Damien Wilde has the distressing details:

This update meant that you can only swipe right to discard unwanted notifications or to clear the lock screen or Notification Center. This felt like a small step backwards from Android Pie, where you just swipe left or right to make notifications disappear.

Well, do not worry, because this ability to delete in any direction you want will come back in a future Android release according to a Google Issue Tracker post.

Sometimes it's the little things that count.
