We are only a few days away from the official opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland. Regulars do not yet have access to the park, but it is only natural that the Disney employees (also known as "cast members") who work there, familiarize themselves with the peculiarities of the new country. Now a new photo of Disneyland President Josh D & # 39; Amaro shows the inhabitants of the fictional outpost of Batuu and their unique, customizable costumes.
It's also a cool photo that shows hundreds of people helping to do so. As the new territory runs smoothly, it also highlights some of the costumes the performers could choose to capture the background stories of the fictional characters, that they play in the park. According to the Disney Parks blog:
Outside the, well, neat First Order, the costumes for members of the Resistance and especially the villagers will be as diverse as the cast members themselves. Different styles and colors for pants and shirts and optional accessories such as scarves, caps, and even necklaces allow Cast to personalize its portion of the Star Wars story .
Costume designer Joe Kucharski was inspired by all of the Star Wars films as well as the animated series and identified iconic looks and silhouettes to translate them into real costume pieces. The team took risks in its decisions and worked with innovative fabrics, among other things, to make the costumes as unique and comfortable as possible. Mesh inserts make vests lighter, nylon makes stretchy pants so special, cotton makes for a more breathable shirt. In the production of cast costumes, comfort and longevity come first. Therefore, the team performed a series of tests to ensure that the fabrics are well worn over time.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open at May 31, 2019 at Disneyland. and in Walt Disney World at August 29, 2019 .
