In addition, no one can guess. This trailer for today's episode has told us very little (basically we know that the Dothraki are still excited and that Daenerys has finally left Drogon).
But hey, it's fun to theorize. That's why we asked some big "GoT" fans here at CNN how they believe the saga is coming to an end.
Dany is still on her Mad Queen Power kick. Between her, Gray Worm and Drogon, everyone who looks like a threat is eliminated. That includes Jon, Tyrion, Sansa and even Yara Greyjoy when she crashes the party (which I hope she does). But Arya and Sansa are the smartest characters in the series – they have a plan to eliminate Dany. Maybe something similar to their conspiracy against Littlefinger?
Who takes the throne? Sansa. If you have followed the evolution of her wardrobe, she has been the queen of the seven kingdoms for some time. And Arya will act as her hand ̵
Matt Rehbein, CNN Ticker Producer :
Very disappointing, things do not end well for Daenerys, but the good side is that Sansa and Tyrion end up with the Iron Throne divide.
Heather Fulbright, CNN Digital Imaging:
Jon Snow becomes the Night King. Probably after I killed Dany. I know that "GoT" finished the whole White Walker story, but that was my theory of the beginning of the season and I'm not giving it up yet.
Chris Farris, WarnerMedia Information Security Office:
I would like to believe that Sandor's last words to Arya make her drive to Storm's End to collaborate with Gendry his. I would also like to think that the faceless men murder Dany, Jon denies the throne and Gendry receives him by the right to be a Baratheon. Queen Ayra, the Nightking Killer … and Tyrion are Dragon Food.
Paige Levin, producer linked to CNN Digital Video:
Varys has definitely started something before he died. It seems he wanted to poison Daenerys with the help of one of his little birds. Just before he is executed, you see Varys burning off a scroll, followed by a rather deliberate shot of him removing his rings. What if Vary's rings contain poison, just as Sansa's necklace was used to kill King Joffrey? Maybe he'll drop the rings so someone else can use them on Daenerys. When Dany is gone, the Iron Throne is finally destroyed and the wheel is broken. Sansa and Tyrion will develop a more democratic system of government, governing each of the seven kingdoms individually.
Austin Mabeus, producer linked to CNN Digital Video:
Arya will die for this reason is "Game of Thrones" and all beauty is taken away from us. Jon kills Gray Worm in combat and Drogon tries to burn him but can not. This shows that Jon is a true Targaryen. Tyrion poisons Dany and installs Jon on the Iron Throne.
Anne Claire Stapleton, CNN Senior International News Editor:
Sansa and Arya rule everything !! Jon Snow takes his place as the rightful heir to the Seven Kingdoms, but leaves power to Arya and Sansa as they make the difficult decisions much more comfortable. Daenerys & # 39; dragon eats her (OK, probably not, but she deserves it after lighting all those innocent people in the last episode) free Jaime and has him executed. When Jon realizes that Dany is no longer the benevolent ruler he falls in love with, he reluctantly kills her – with Arya's help – for the benefit of the remnants of the empire. Gray worm gets collateral damage. The resilient Stark children, knowing that Jon is too gullible and Bran too scary, come to their senses and appoint Sansa to the Iron Throne (with Brienne as their Chief of General). And unfortunately we never see Tormund or Hot Pie again.
Trisha Ahmed, CNN Southeast Bureau News Intern:
Jon will order Drogon to kill Dany with his Targaryen blood. Maybe Jon even says "Dracarys". And Drogon will obey.
Patrick Cornell, CNN Producer of News Content:
At some point, Gray Worm and the Unsullied Daenerys cheat. Tyrion kills Daenerys. Jaime and Tyrion were kindred spirits and think it makes sense for Tyrion to play the role of Mad Queen Slayer.
Sansa is used as the new ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. Jon gives up the title so he can return to Winterfell. There he belongs with his true friends to the north. Brienne is appointed commander of Sansas new unitary army.
And the three-eyed Raven takes over the last surviving dragon.
If I could write an action in this episode, it would be Cersei surviving the collapse of the Red Fortress. I hope she has made it and found a way to sail to a place she believes is abandoned, where she could live in peace. Arya will find Cersei years later and eventually cut her off from her kill list. This should be the very last frame of the entire show.
