George Soros calls Obama his "biggest disappointment"

Billionaire George Soros, an early proponent of President Barack Obama's presidential election in 2008, called Obama his "biggest disappointment."

In an interview published in The New York Times, Soros said Obama is "actually my biggest disappointment." The billionaire was then asked by one of his advisors to clarify his comment. Soros said he did not think Obama's presidency had failed him, but he was professionally disappointed because he wanted Obama to seek his advice. He had hoped Obama would seek his advice on economic and financial matters.

Soros said that Obama "closed the door" after being elected president, and felt that his support was taken for granted.

"He thanked me for my support, which was supposed to take five minutes, and I hired him, and he had to spend another three minutes with me, so I pulled him out for eight minutes." Soros said

Although he donated $ 25 million to Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates in the 201

6 campaign, Soros said he "does not want to be particularly Democrat."

He told the publication he held highly of Sen John McCain, R-Ariz., And he has contemplated financially supporting Republicans like Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and Maine Senator Susan Collins.

"I should not say that, it would hurt them," he added.
