German billionaire family to donate $ 11 million to Nazi past News | DW



One of the richest families in Germany has stated that she will donate $ 11 million (9.7 million euros) to charity after learning the extent of her family ties to the Nazi regime, according to a mass circulation report image on sunday newspaper.

The JAB Holding Company of the Reimann family owns a controlling stake in several major brands, including Panera Bread and Krispy Kreme Donuts.

What the Report Revealed:

] The report focused on Albert Reimann's senior and Albert Reimann Jr. and their industrial chemistry company in the city of Ludwigshafen during the Nazi era, noting that:

Peter Harf, spokesman for the family and managing partner of JAB Holding Company, confirmed the report image on Sunday .

"Reimann Sr. and Reimann Jr. were to blame.The two businessmen died, but they were actually in prison," said Harf Image .

He added that three years ago, the family commissioned its own investigation of the Nazi past, and he and the family were "speechless" when the preliminary results were recently revealed to them.

However, the younger generation of the Reimann family began asking questions after reading old family documents and more thoroughly commissioned a historian at the University of Munich to investigate the history of the family.

What the Family Intends Next: The Reimann family has not yet indicated which charity they chose for the donation. The family spokesman also said the family intended to make the report available to the public after the report was finalized.
