The WBA featherweight champion Gervonta Davis is keen to beat Tevin Farmer, the IBF World Champion, in a high-stakes showdown.
Both boxers were on Saturday evening in action and got their victories and world champion titles. Over in Baltimore, Davis made a statement as he blew the mandatory challenger Ricardo Nunez in two short laps. And in Arlington, Farmer has kept the title with a win in twelve rounds against Guillaume Frenois in the mandatory game.
After the fight, both boxers called each other out.
Davis hopes a deal will be made ̵
He warns that competition with Farmer would not make him the best fighter in the weight class.
Davis meets and WBC champion Miguel Berchelt rated 130 as the best fighter year, and if that does not happen, he wants to rise to lightweight for more gold.
"[Farmer is] At 130, he's not the best, he's not even the best , Me and Miguel would be shouting, but I do not care who I fight, as long as I get what I deserve. I will fight with whoever. I will certainly agree by the end of this year. I will get one of these other champions. But if I can not agree, I'll go up. If not 130 then we go to 135 and grab all those belts up there. Support me, I fight for all of you, "said Davis.
