Do not tell Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher the last minutes of the fourth quarter of the last preseason match, does not matter.
Bettcher was steamed after his third-team defense lost edge inclusion and an 86-yard allowed touchdown run by backup quarterback Danny Etling, who kept the ball on a fake inside draw. Orion Stewart, Leonard Johnson and Tyrell Chavis looked like the culprits.
The Giants lost 17-12 against the Patriots and finished the preseason with a 2-2 record. Most starters did not play in the game, as is usual with NFL.
But by and large, the game was more about individual performance for players in the 53-man squad. The cutoff of 90 players starts on Friday and ends at 4pm. Saturday
