S Only God of War of Santa Monica has won the Game of the Year award at the 2018 The Game Awards. The celebrated Nordic adventure also received awards for the best direction and the best action adventure.
Rockstar's hit Western Red Dead Redemption 2 won the most awards and traveled home with four. The extended adventure won the best narrative, the best performance for Roger Clarke as Arthur Morgan, the best music for Woody Jackson and Daniel Lanois, and the best audio.
The indie gemstone Celeste won two for the best independent game and the Game for Impact award. The Battle Royale phenomenon Fortnite also won two with the best running game and the best multiplayer.
