Google brings 65 new emoji for Android Q, including sloth and waffles

Whether you're using high fives, poop or kisses, emoji has become an integral part of web-based conversations around the world. The emoji pool is constantly expanding, and now Google has announced that it will provide more for Android.

The company has announced to release 65 new Emoji for Android as part of World Emoji Day. Some of the most notable additions are a sloth, falafel, otter, diya lamp, garlic, waffles, guide dogs, an orangutan and a skunk. Google indicates that it also contains 53 gender-specific designs for emoji that contain Unicode, no gender specified.

"For example, the emoji for" police officer "is often portrayed as male and" person getting the haircut "as female, which can reinforce gender stereotypes," Google said in its press release. "With this update, Emoji is shown by default in a non-gender specific design on Android without gender, but you can still choose between presentations for men and women if you want to choose a gender."
