Google will announce details of its unannounced game project at San Francisco's Game Developers Conference next month, according to an invitation from tech giant Tuesday. The company will hold a keynote presentation at 10:00 am PT on March 19, which is expected to announce details of a new video game venture.
Official information is scarce. Google's invitation contained only the slogan "Gather around" and a picture of a seemingly dark corridor leading to a lighted exit.
It is reported that Google is working on a "subscription-based game streaming service that could either work in a Chromecast from Google or possibly a console made by Google," according to The Information. The project is codenamed "Yeti". A follow-up report from Kotaku indicated that Google is undertaking a streaming service related to hardware and an "aggressive" attempt to attract or gain game developers for Google's platform.
