Google will host its latest hardware event next week, with Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL the undisputed stars of the show. Sure, Google will introduce new Home, Chrome OS, and Chromecast products, and yes, we already know about the Pixel 3 series. But that does not mean the Pixel 3 phones will not be less thrilling for Android fans looking forward to Google's next flagships. Meanwhile, Google is trying a strange video that happens to eat up one of the features of the phone we already knew.
Posted on Google Japan's YouTube channel, the weird video revolves around grabbing, pinching and squeezing things. And it ends with a teaser shot for next week's upcoming Pixel 3 phones.
If you are familiar with Google's pixels, you know they have an Active Edge feature that allows you to press the frame to trigger an action to wake up the wizard. It's not surprising that Google keeps Active Edge in its place, a feature that almost no other mobile phone has to offer.
We already knew that the Pixel 3 will have Active Edge support, thanks to the abundance of Pixel 3 leaks we've seen this summer. And a few days ago, the support for Active Edge was mentioned in a video that showed various Pixel 3 features in action. However, this was a pixel pixel video that leaked, not an official Pixel 3 Marketing Clip.
The Google Pixel Press Event will take place on October 9 in New York City. Google expects local events in various markets, including France and the UK.
