It's no longer just a rumor: Gossip Girl is restarted.
Seven years after completing the CW drama – and six months after the show's original talk of a new iteration network – HBO Max has ordered 10-hour episodes of a series featuring a fresh harvest of great Manhattan private students will introduce the all-seeing eye of Gossip Girl. According to the streaming service, the reboot will "examine how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – have changed in recent years".
The serial creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are again on board as executive producers. Joshua Safran, who created Gossip Girl EP, the ABCs Quantico and Netflix's Mixtape is hired as an EP and Author.
