AUSTIN (KXAN) – The 17th Annual Bells and Whistles Good Friday Fundraiser Benefiting 100 clubs from central Texas starts at 11 o'clock and runs through lunch Friday, March 30.
The 100 Club helps families of first-aiders, killed and seriously injured on duty. From 11:00 to 14:00, a percentage of sales will be donated by all McDonald's participating restaurants to local 100 clubs.
During the 3-hour window, first responders are also behind the counter, taking orders, and they have a chance to interact with the community.
"The Austin police could have the support of McDonald's and the 100 Club of Central Texas," said Austin police chief Brian Manley. "This is a relationship we value and look forward to each year."
In 2016, local McDonald's restaurants raised $ 14,000 for the 100 Club of Central Texas.
