A Missouri community is on the verge of seeking answers after four members of the same family were murdered. In a suburban home, violence erupted and flooded the street overnight.

When officers arrived, they watched a vehicle leave the area at high speed.
Officers said they tried to stop the person behind the wheel Be the suspect – resulting in a shootout in which one of his cruisers was pierced with bullet holes. But it did not end there.
A short time later, a person with the same description tried to kidnap a woman. Investigators said he stabbed the woman, then ran away.
After a seven-hour search, the police tracked down the suspect after receiving a call that a man is in the supermarket and is bleeding.
Late Saturday, prosecutors announced that the murders were not accidental, but were committed by Richard Friend, the friend of the 39-year-old victim, Richard Emery. He was arrested from 15 different charges, including first-degree murder.
"What someone who takes a child's life is a mystery to me – and we may never know," prosecutor Tim Lohmar said.
The police said the investigators are still investigating what might have motivated this. The carjacking victim will recover from her physical injuries and no officers were injured.
