"Gwen deserves everything she has," the 60-year-old hostess began. "She deserves that love, she deserves the life she has and the career she has because she has been through a lot."
"They will make me cry!" Stefani answered before she was in tears.
"Wow, now I'm crying!" she admitted a little later. "Also on TV, I love you."
DeGeneres continued to tell how she hated to see what Stefani was going through.
"You do not deserve it," DeGeneres said. "You just deserve everything, I'm happy for you as your friend."
Needless to say, DeGeneres comments grabbed the former "voice" coach for a handkerchief.

Although the two did not exactly relate to what they were referring to in Stefani's life, they may allude to the divorce of the "Just A Girl" singer from her 13-year-old husband, Gavin Rossdale.

Neither Rossdale, 53, nor Stefani spoke publicly about the reasons for their divorce, several media reports appeared at the time in which it was alleged that Rossdale has a continuing affair with her nanny.
Since then Stefani has continued with country star Blake Shelton.
