Call your friends through your Amazon echo and send them a text message.

Amazon

Put the phone down and let your echo do the work. If you do not routinely use Alexa to make calls, text and transmissions for you, you are working too hard. Instead, use your Amazon Echo ($ 100 on Amazon) to complete the announcement for you. Alexa can make calls, send text messages, check someone else's Alexa device, and make announcements on all your devices.

The great thing is that you can give Alexa voice commands to communicate for you. If you're traveling by car, nearing a meeting, or busy in another room, you can quickly tell Alexa to send you a message or announcement.

So you can talk to Alexa with your friends and family.
