NASAs on July 20, 1969 The moon landing has been at the center of the debate over conspiracy theories for the past 50 years. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, new questions are raised as to whether NASA ever went to the moon. The filmmaker and author Jay Weidner has now publicly announced why he believes the moon landing was shot in a studio. Mr. Weidner, who appeared publicly on the Coast to Coast AM radio, claimed that Mr. Kubrick had used "front screen projection" techniques to forge the lunar film footage.
The conspiracy theorist said, "I think they decided, just for the sake of the public, that it was probably better to have someone here on Earth."
"Then they could go about their business and their secret equipment to the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
"So it's not all that it's a big leap to say that they may have shown us something that was not really real to protect national security."

" He started as a filmmaker first and as director of the actor, and that was perfect for NASA, because they needed it.
"You needed someone who could solve problems, someone who could. Get in and solve the problems technically.
"Acting was not as important to them as the technical issues, and so Stanley began to solve the technical problems."

According to his own analysis of Mr. Weidner's Apollo 11 photographs, "strategically placed horizon lines" can be seen behind the "Apollo 11 set".
These lines are intended to show "When editing contrast and focus is applied to the Apollo snapshots."
But all this is no proof that NASA has ever landed on the moon, Weidner emphasized.
Instead, the filmmaker said geopolitical tensions between the US and the Soviet Union forced Uni NASA to falsify the footage if the moon landing goes awry.

Mr. Weidner said, "I'm not saying we do not go to the moon. I think we went to the moon.
"I think there are reflectors on the moon, they put seismographs on the moon, but I do not think what we saw was real.
"I think for political reasons – and we had the great fortune teller Richard Nixon in office when they landed, and we know that probably everything the government did was clean and sincere.
Filming the Moon Landing in a Studio With Mr. Kubrick Would Do So Keep a number of secret technologies from the hands of the Soviets.
And if the Apollo lunar module fails to descend, the world would not have to see Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin die live on TV.
NASA avoids cursing allegations of lunar landscapes, but the space agency has in the past denied the falsification of the suffering.
NASA said, "The discussion on this subject is to some extent an insult to thousands who have worked for years to achieve the most amazing explorations in history.
"And it's certainly an insult to the memory of those who gave their lives for space exploration."
