Death Row Records was reportedly taken over by the Hasbro Toy Company, the same unit used for several classic toys such as Mr. Potato Head, My Little , responsible is Pony and GI Joe.
According to Rolling Stone, Hasbro announced on Thursday (22 August) that they have bought Entertainment One, a multimedia company that owns the children's franchises Peppa Pig and PJ Masks.
eOne also has a music department that happens to be one of the largest independent labels in the industry. During the first quarter of this year, the company generated revenue of $ 30 million.
"Hasbro will leverage eOne's rich entertainment features to make our brand portfolio available to gamers, fans and families across the globe and the entire franchise, delivering value through our shareholder blueprint strategy," said CEO Brian Goldner towards deadline. "We are pleased to welcome the talented eOne employees from around the world to the Hasbro family." Seven years after the legendary hip-hop label had to file for bankruptcy, in 2013 the company spent around $ 280 million to buy it.
