ATLANTA – A basketball player who has just completed his rookie season with the Atlanta Hawks, was arrested in Oregon for alcohol abuse
Eugene police spokeswoman Melinda McLaughlin reports to a 22-year-old Tyler from an officer Dorsey for Driving without lights on early Saturday. The officer discovered an open container of alcohol on the passenger side floor.
He was accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, drove without lights and had an open alcoholic beverage container and was fired after posting $ 590 bail. It is unclear whether he has a lawyer.
Athletes in trouble with the law
Dorsey was drafted by the Hawks in April of last year after completing his sophomore year at the University of Oregon. He played in 56 Hawks games this season, averaging 7.2 points per game.
The Hawks said in a statement that they are still gathering information and will not comment further at this time.
