Hazmat Incident at Woburn Red Robin sends 3 employees to the hospital

1; Three people were hospitalized after a hazardous substance incident at a Woburn Red Robin. This was confirmed by the city police chief to Boston 25 News. All victims are employees of the restaurant.

The incident occurred when somebody in the restaurant was mixing cleaning chemicals and evacuating the facility. Three people were decontaminated before the Red Robin before being transferred to the Lahey Clinic.

Rescue workers stay at the scene on Washington Street in the city.

This incident occurred nearly two weeks after a chemical incident in a Burlington Buffalo Wild Wings killed one employee and sent 10 more to Woburn Hospital. A Red Robin spokesman made the following statement on the incident: [19659014]] "On Tuesday, November 19, at 4:30 pm local time, the Red Robin restaurant in Woburn, Massachusetts, displayed an apparent chemical reaction with detergents, immediately after the reaction the on-duty restaurant manager evacuated all team members and guests from the restaurant and Called 911.
