Heart disease is personal to many heart and soul gala members of the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association – whether they themselves, a family member, or friends. On June 16, this gala hosted the Empire Ballroom at Hyatt Regency New Orleans with supporters to raise funds to continue the mission to fight heart disease.
The party started in the lobby area of the ballroom, where cocktails were served items. An ivy wall with a swirl of red roses greeted the guests at the entrance, ready for party photos. There were separate seating areas for discussions. In the ballroom, flower arrangements of white lilies and hydrangeas with red roses stood on the tables covered with white linen and red napkins. Wink Events was responsible for the party look.
A three-course dinner and music by Stormy the Band were part of the gala, as well as a live auction, including articles like 1
A video produced by AHA / ASA was screened with co-chairs Open Your Heart Arlene and Alan Philpson who lost their son Andy Philipson to heart disease. Mrs. Philpson, like her mother, was born with congenital heart defects that show symptoms at a later age than birth or childhood; That's also happened to Andy. For the Philpsons, the event was one way to spread the message of how important it is to support the AHA / ASA.
