Heartbroken woman bids farewell to her dying husband with a beautiful rendition of "Amazing Grace"

Sometimes the magic of a song can provide comfort in the darkest moments of life.

It was a song that comforted Danielle Gibson and her family at the bedside of Danielle's dying husband on January 30, 2019. Mother of four children held her husband's hand on the last day of his life when he attended a short and devastated disease.

Tony Gibson, 33, had begun gaining memory loss in December 2017. The Lebanese family, Tennessee, had huge regard for Tony's confused state in the house take: "I would have to label the rooms in our house," said Danielle. The family was at a loss, and the impact of Tony's worsening memory on daily life became increasingly difficult to cope with.

In May 2018, the doctors at the Nashville Vanderbilt University Medical Center were able to provide answers.

Tony had Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, a severe, degenerative neurological disorder. Alarming it is the human form of mad cow disease. Tony was most likely ill with the disease when he came in contact with contaminated meat.

Most Creutzfeldt-Jakob patients die within 12 months because there is no cure for them tragically.

A devastating prognosis and few choices But to be stoic and supportive, Tony's family gathered their strength and showered Tony with love for those who turned out to be the last months of his life.

Tony's intact wife even took special care of her husband when he was taken to a hospice.

Danielle even took the strength to sing to him one last time, knowing how much Tony loved her singing a song, "Amazing Grace , "

Tony looked at his wife as she sang to him. The poignant texts filled the room: "Incredible grace, how sweet the sound … I was once lost, but was found now."

The song could convey a timeless feeling between the spouses as they said goodbye. [19659016] Singing His Favorite Anthem So Soothing #AmazingGrace #CureCJD 💜💜💜

Danielle uploaded the touching video on Facebook and her site was flooded with news Love and support and a series of heartfelt donations for the family's GoFundMe campaign. Of course, Danielle is worried about giving her children financial support for the future.

"[He] has no life insurance … It's hard enough to raise two twin girls with little income," Danielle admitted. "Any donation would be a blessing."

Fortunately, Danielle community members have bombarded the loving mother with the gestures of support she so desperately needs.

"Tony has always been so strong. He's had a damn good fight, "Danielle continued.

Tony's difficult fight is over, fortunately, and with amazing grace, Danielle, her family, and a wealth of relatives will be taking care of each other in the future.
