A vegan diet could "appease" future children, a nutrition expert warned.
According to Dr. Emma Derbyshire, who reports on plant-based nutrition in the health journal BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health (BMJ), lacks choline – a key nutrient for mental development. It occurs mainly in beef, eggs, dairy products, fish and chickens.
According to Derbyshire, low levels of pregnancy may damage the fetus and increase the risk of memory and brain problems in children.
