Season 3 of Fortnite: Battle Royale closes this week and it will follow right after the start of Season 4. Epic Games has teased that it could be superhero-themed and tied to the ongoing meteor events, but it seems it will be released on Tuesday, May 1, along with its release.
Over the last few days, Epic has updated a single Season 4 episode to feature more superhero characters. There are now four in total, which we have looked at, while a newer artwork (below) shows the silhouettes of all four. Like Epic's other crazes, it features the words "Peg for Impact," and the image suggests the long-awaited meteor crash happens and brings these characters with it.
Small meteors recently started to hit the island, although none of this is of any importance. It looks like the big meteor was set up for Season 4, which means another Battle Pass with weekly challenges and new skins and other cosmetic rewards awaits.
Epic still has very little official information to provide about Season 4, including what the Battle Pass will cost. The previous ones were only available for 950 V-Bucks, a premium currency in the game. Plans to sell Season 3's Battle Pass directly for real money were scrapped just before the debut. This was not considered ideal because it meant that you had to buy more V-Bucks than was needed for the Battle Pass. On the positive side, you could use the small number of V-Bucks you can earn for the cost of the Battle Pass.
By the end of season 3, this is the last opportunity to finish the season 3 weekly challenges. If you own the Battle Pass, you should collect as many items as you can to earn the rewards this season while they are still available.
