Hockey player breastfeeds 8-week-old baby during game breaks

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alberta, Canada – Serah Small loves hockey. So much so that she was on the rink just eight weeks after giving birth and playing games.

There was only one problem: At one of the games, she realized that she had forgotten her breast pump at home.

So, "She got herself plastered in the locker room and nursed her little one between the stages of her play."

"I do not think I've done anything other than millions of mothers before me," said Small CNN.

The only difference here is that Small's mother proudly took some pictures. The rest is viral history.

Small is a primary school teacher from Grande Prairie, Alberta. She plays hockey since she was 4 years old.

First she shared the photo with a lactation consultant, who then shared it on Facebook.

"I never thought that this photo would ever leave the lactation side and become especially viral." She said:

Small said she had trouble feeding young Ellie, so she undressed.

"Being a mother is absolutely amazing and I am so happy that I can do something that I absolutely love, while still satisfying my needs," Small said in a post. "Our bodies are amazing and this weekend was the first time I really valued mine."
