Indiana could have gotten a break when it comes to their regional host. Of all the 16 teams hosting a regional tournament, the Texas Longhorns are the worst in the RPI rankings (22nd, only seven places higher than Indiana), and presumably in case of doubt winning the regular season title in the second best RPI conference to have . If the Hoosiers were to win the Austin Regional Austin and everyone from Tennessee Tech, Missouri State, or St. Louis should steal the Oxford regional, the Hoosiers would likely host the super regional as seeding beats them higher than all three of these Teams on the NCAA's curve. And when it comes in the stadium between Indiana and Tennessee Tech as a two-seed, Bart Kaufman Field has more than twice as many fans as the Bush Stadium in Cookeville.
