A Houston police sergeant was charged with murder after his wife, a long-time primary school librarian, was shot dead on the weekend.
A suspected arrest warrant has been issued Houston police Sgt. Hilario Hernandez, 56, was shot dead to Belinda Hernandez, 52, on Saturday in Pearland, Texas. One family member reported finding the body, according to the Pearland Police Department.
Hilario Hernandez was arrested on Saturday in Kingsville, more than 250 miles south of where his wife was found dead, said Pearland police officer Jason Wells. 19659009] According to the police, Belinda Hernandez was a librarian at the Shadycrest Elementary School in the Pearland Independent School district.
"Ms. Hernandez was a popular longtime employee who worked for Pearland ISD for 15 years," said the district's allegation adding that the caregivers will be made available to students and staff "for as long as needed".
Her faculty profile on the school website states, "Her desire for Shadycrest students is to find the" right "book the world of reading."
The Houston Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment , Pearland police said the department was supporting their investigation.
Hilario Hernandez is being held with $ 800,000 bail in Brazoria Prison on prison records.
