Huawei's Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are already impressive phones, but the company has also announced two more variants. The Huawei Mate 20 X is designed for gamers with its massive screen and battery, while the Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche design offers a premium look.
Huawei Mate 20 X
The Huawei Mate 20 X Bonds its design language from the regular Mate 20 It comes with the same "dewdrop" notch on the display and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. However, the display on the Mate 20 X at 7.2 inches is much larger and it's also an AMOLED panel instead of an LCD. The AMOLED display comes with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1440, but does not offer a 120 Hz refresh rate like the Razer Phone. Inside, the Huawei Mate 20 X is powered by the Kirin 980 chipset with the Mali-G76 GPU with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Since Huawei markets this mobile phone as a gaming phone, it also comes with its own cooling system to keep it cool under heavy loads. According to The Verge, the company uses graphene film cooling technology on the handset and a vapor chamber design.
The Huawei Mate 20 X is also the variant in the new series that offers the largest battery capacity of 5,000 mAh. The company has not released figures for its battery life, but a capacity of this size should be more than enough for long gaming sessions. Since Huawei propagates this as a gaming mobile, the company plans to release a gamepad that will be attached to the sides of the handset. It would hang on the sides, much like Nintendo JoyCon controllers connect to the switch hybrid console. In addition, the Mate 20 X is compatible with the company's own M-Pen Stylus, which will be available separately.
Like the cameras, the Huawei Mate 20 X has the same setup as the Mate 20 Pro. On the back there is a triple-camera setup with a 40-megapixel standard lens, a 20-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom according to the GSM Arena. The unit also comes with Dolby Atmos dual-stereo speakers, which should be great not only for gaming but also for other forms of entertainment.
The Huawei Mate 20 X will be available from October 26 and will cost $ 899 or $ 1,040
Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design
The Mate 20 RS Porsche Design is the most expensive Huawei variant new family of flagship smartphones. The handset is like a neater version of the Mate 20 Pro with leather trim on the back. The handset will be available in red and black.
Although the model Mate 20 RS Porsche Design with the Pro model has the same CPU, GPU, cameras and features, it comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB / 512GB of internal memory. The handset will be released sometime in November and will be retail for € 1,695 (256GB model) and € 2,095 (512GB model).
