I do not even have to play Death Stranding to check it out. All I need is the 39 minutes worth of trailers released so far, my terrible enthusiasm and terrible imagination. Allow me to use all three in this video presentation, a "preliminary discussion" of Death Stranding .
What could possibly authorize me to discuss Death Stranding three months before its release at a time when nobody who can speak publicly about the deeper details of the game has played it? Well, for starters, I own more than two military fashion accessories. In addition, a tweet I wrote about a "Tactical Baby Gear" papoose was retweeted more than 300 times. That's practically viral!
If that is not enough, I also buy my glasses in the shop where Hideo Kojima buys his. In fact, it was Hideo Kojima who first told me the location of this business. One could say that we have similar worldviews .
"Where do you buy your glasses?" Was actually the first question I asked Hideo Kojima as I sat down to talk with him for three hours 16 years ago. For a full hour we discussed literature and film. I asked him if he had read Kobo Abe and he said no. Fourteen years later, he referred to a specific piece by Kobo Abe as a thematic inspiration for Death Stranding . That's almost a connection! It's a pity I can not prove it with 17-year-old audio clips from my first meeting with Kojima.
(Or can I? Watch the video to find out!)
In conclusion: There's a chance my head explodes in an art-loving bout of joy while playing Death Stranding , It would be difficult even for me to write a thoughtful critique of Death Stranding in such a decapitated scenario. That's why I thought I would jump the gun and write this video as a kind of will.
When you've reached the end of this post and consider writing a comment, I also like my thoughts on Death Stranding in written prose in addition to the deeply bizarre videography embedded above: buddy, I have more bad news for you when a phone book would fill. You only need to like, comment and subscribe to our YouTube channel. I promise you will love it.
There is even a playlist of all my other videos. Wow!
