After an engine explosion on a Southwest Airlines flight, aviation experts warn passengers about the importance of paying attention to security demonstrations.
For Michael Riordan, it began with a call from the chaplain at a hospital in Philadelphia

As Michael waited for a follow-up call from a doctor, he learned the tragic news of April 17 online: An engine on Jennifer's 1380 Southwest flight had failed 32,000 feet above the ground and had a Boeing 737 window on its way from the New York smashed LaGuardia airport to Dallas.
Jennifer, who was sitting at a window, was partially sucked out of the window in spite of her seatbelt, but passengers could manage to bring her back but could not rescue her
The 43-year-old bank clerk and mother of two children died in nearly 10 years as the first person in an accident with a US airline.

Michael said ABC News that he met Jennifer in a mall 29 years ago when he was 17 was. She was 15.
When the doctor delivered the tragic news, Michael said his first thought was from their two children. "I immediately thought of the children and how do you tell your children that their mother left," he said.
In the interview from his hometown Albuquerque, Michael recalled how the tragic day developed and how he addressed the news to her
Michael said he had gone to her school and taken her to a chapel.
"I just held her little hands and took a knee and said: 'Mama is not coming home, guys,'" he said
In an interview with CBS News Riordan was asked what he should expect of his children Averie (12) and Josh (10) when they think of their mother (19659008), loving, caring and sharing – 100 percent – and on this every decision we make is based "When I see those four little eyes that think how we get through, I'll become a better father and a better husband and a better person."
He said the couple was carrying the Guardian Angel coins distributed at a memorial service last weekend to remind them that their mother is still watching them.
On Sunday Michael told ABC that he had felt the first peace since Jennifer's death when hundreds of people complain and their love expressing affection for them.
Jennifer Riordan went well-known in the Albuquerque region for an established career in community engagement and volunteering. She served as vice president of community relations for Wells Fargo New Mexico operations.
She oversaw the company's corporate spending program in New Mexico and volunteered her time with a number of non-profit nonprofit groups and boards
Southwest Airlines chief executive officer Gary Kelly called Jennifer's death a " tragic loss ".
The National Transportation Safety Board's investigation into the tragedy could take more than a year before teams can identify the cause and provide safety recommendations.
Meanwhile, airlines were ordered to quickly investigate engines like those that failed on Flight 1380.
