Idris Elba broke millions on Friday when he married Sabrina Dhowre in a secret ceremony in Morocco.
The ceremony took place at the luxury hotel Ksar Char-Bagh in Marrakech, the Special Events Manager of Hotel Gigi Saadani told CNN. The wedding was covered for the July issue exclusively by Vogue magazine. Photos of the event were published online on Saturday.
The celebration lasted three days and included a "Colors of the Souk" dinner for friends and family, Vogue reported. Elba, 46, wore a bespoke suit by designer Ozwald Boateng, while Dhowre, 29, wore a Vera Wang dress, the magazine said.
Boateng celebrates the couple on Instagram: "Congratulations to my brother Idris Elba and his beautiful wife Sabrina Dhowre is so happy for you."
Dhowre, a US model, was named Miss Vancouver in 201
4. She met Elba on the set of "The Mountain Between Us" in 2017. The following year, Elba Dhowre surprised when she popped the pop question at a film screening in London.
The British actor, who has been married twice, first became famous on the small screen and starred in "The Wire" and "Luther." The latter earned him a Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild Award and four Emmy nominations.
He began his film career in 2005 with "American Gangster", "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom", "Beasts of No Nation". and "Molly's Game."
The Heartbreaker was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2018.
