Ikea's new Fyrtur Smart Blinds will finally be introduced to the US after a delay earlier this year. Currently, however, they are apparently only available in retail stores. Online purchases continue to be listed as "not available".
As Ikea announced earlier this year, the US receives only the Fyrtur blackout blinds, not the lighter Kadrilj model. Ikea sells eight sizes of venetian blinds, from 23 inches wide (for $ 129) to 48 inches ($ 179). As my colleague Thomas Ricker notes in his review, the colors can not be cut: they are all 75 cm long, with the maximum length they roll off being limited by the user as part of the setup process.
While the Ikea website does not yet list all models, the Reddit user HomeKit_Hero has compiled a complete list of the various sizes, model numbers and prices for the US versions (see below):
- 23 × 76 3/4 27 × 76 3/4 "1
- 30 × 76 3/4" 904.174.62 $ 149
- 32 × 76 3/4 "704.174. 63 $ 154 34 × 76 3/4 "504,174.64 $ 159
- 36 × 76 3/4" 204,174.65 $ 164
- 38 × 76 3/4 "004,174.66 $ 169 48 × 76 3/4 "504.174.59 $ 179
If you would like to pick up a set for yourself, you can check the Ikea website to see if it is in stock in your store, but some Reddit users have recommended it To call the store to ask for the model number directly, as the website still does not list all sizes.
According to Thomas, the smart blinds from Ikea are in the face of the Ver Among other options of relatively low cost and easy setup process, one of the best options to equip your home with motorized blinds. That said, there are still some frustrating software hiccups, including the lack of promised Alexa and HomeKit support, which Ikea still says will come later this year.
