Paramount Pictures has released late summer release dates for the next two installments of "Mission: Impossible", scheduled for July 23, 2021, and the eighth film will be released on August 5, 2022.
Variety reported on January 14 that Christopher McQuarrie returned to film both films from his own scripts Tom Cruise confirmed his return as IMF agent Ethan Hunt.
Jim Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, said: "We could not be more excited about the great success of & # 39; Mission: Impossible ̵
The announcement also revealed that David Ellison of Skydance will be producing again, as he has done in the last three films. "We also had a great partnership with Skydance and David Ellison in these three latest films and look forward to further joint success in this great series," said Gianopulos.
"Fallout" earned over 790 million dollars worldwide, the best move so far in the six-film series. After years of transitioning the director to give each installment a new face, Cruise and Paramount have now settled on McQuarrie as the lead director – much like Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling selected David Yates to direct the last four films of the "Harry Potter" series and the first three films of the Fantastic Beasts spinoff franchise.
