The ongoing battle for the best burger continues! On the West Coast, everyone loves In-N-Out Burgers, so most East Coasters die for a taste! It will turn out that this will not happen in the foreseeable future.

California's beloved burger chain has brought itself into a political beef as residents of the majority-democratic state come to a realization: In-N-Out Burger donates to Republicans.

The Irvine-based society gave this Republican Party $ 25,000 this week a state registration recorded on Twitter by journalist Gabe Schneider . And that is not the first time. In-N-Out also donated $ 30,000 to the party in 2017 and 2016, according to Los Angeles Magazine.

"Et tu In-N-Out?" said the chairman of the Californian Democratic Party Eric Bauman on Twitter . "Tens of thousands of dollars have been donated to the Republican Party in California – it's time to let #BoycottInNOut – let Trump and his buddies support these sneaks … maybe animal-style!"

While In-N-Out's Bible verses print on his mugs and packaging, Fortune noted that it was not so much has been associated with religious conservatism like Chick-Fil-A, a chain of restaurants with a similar food fanatic, whose CEO condemns homosexual marriage.

And In-N-Out donates to both sides of the gait: According to the magazine, the chain has awarded tens of thousands of dollars to "Californians for Jobs and a Strong Economy", a political action committee that aims to elect moderate Democrats [19659008] Yet, some left-wing In-N-Out aficionados felt they were contradictory.

"In the age of @realDonaldTrump we need joy in our lives" said Twitter users @DetAnsinn. "Sometimes this joy comes in red / white wrapper and a toasted bun."

"No more double-doubles for me" said @SpinDr. "From now on, only Shake Shack."

Others saw an advantage: "Wait … does that mean that the Californian liberals (basically most of the state) are no longer eating at In-N-Out?" said @NersesAposthian. "Shorter lines ?!"

In-N-Out fans who support livable wages may want to stay with the burger chain despite perceived policies. The company has confirmed to US TODAY this year that its store managers are earning six-figure salaries. Beginners work at $ 13 an hour over the minimum wage of $ 11 in California.
