When I opened Instagram a few moments ago on my Pixel 2 XL, I noticed something else: The story bar remained visible as I scrolled down my main feed. It usually remains at the top and does not follow down, but the company is testing a stubborn, sticky approach to having stories at hand all the time. This seems to annoy me, but some may find it convenient.
Up to this point, I think Instagram was very well developed and built on stories. They are fun. I post and watch often. But between the disgusting neon-orange IGTV notifications in the main app, which I can not turn off and now that, I'm not thrilled. Let people use the app as they want. I understand that there is a constant drive for greater use and better findability ̵
When the Instagram spokesperson for The Verge was emailed, he made a standard comment on the new feature: "We're constantly testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram, to share with the people who are important to you at all times. "
