Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly planning to merge his company's news services, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram instant messaging into one encrypted platform.
There will be completely new apps for the merged communication platform Users can send messages through various social media channels. This project is allegedly prioritized by Zuckerberg and should debut at the end of this year or the beginning of 2020.
Following the resignation of Whatsapp and the founder of Instagram in 2017, Zuckerberg wants to abandon the first plans to separate the various platforms. Despite lack of employee support, triggering of the internal division and burden of the company with logistical and technical problems.
Zuckerberg believes users will feel more connected to the Facebook universe through the merger.
