Intelligence blocks journalist from questions Jared Kushner

CBS News correspondent Errol Barnett posted a video on Tuesday evening in which intelligence agents blockaded him when he tried to ask Jared Kushner of the White House, Senior Advisor, a question about the disappearance of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The incident occurred when Barnett saw Ivanka Trump and Kushner on his flight from Washington to New York.

The video shows Barnett trying to ask Kushner a question, but before he could finish it, intelligence agents blocked his phone and one of the agents told him, "I do not care who you are a time and a place. "

A Secret Service spokesman responded to the video by saying," The secret service knows the video posted today on Twitter by @errolbarnett, and the circumstances of the incident are being reviewed additional facts, details and full circumstances of the incident will be taken as appropriate and there will be no further comments until the incident can be fully reviewed. "

Kushner, the son-in-law of President Donald Trump, plays an important role in the White House reaction to the disappearance of the journalist. Kushner is reported to have a close relationship with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, heir to the Saudi throne. As part of the White House's efforts to persuade Saudi Arabia to participate in an investigation into Khashoggi's case, the two have been making direct telephone calls in recent days.

Khashoggi, a permanent US resident and Washington Post official, went missing on October 2 after visiting the Saudi consulate in Turkey to complete the paperwork for the marriage of his Turkish fiancé.

The Turkish government claimed that Saudi Arabia sent a 15-member team to kill Khashoggi while he was at the consulate. According to reports, audio and video recordings have shown that Khashoggi was killed in the consulate.

US and Turkish officials told the Washington Post that the record showed that a Saudi security team was arresting Khashoggi at the consulate. They also claimed that the crew then killed him and dismembered his body.

"The inside voice of the message depicts what happened to Jamal after he came in. You can hear his voice and the voices of men who speak Arabic, you can hear him being interrogated, tortured and then murdered "said one person with knowledge of the records.

According to reports, Khashoggi was killed minutes after he went to the Consulate and not after interrogation. He was dragged out of the Consul General's office and taken to the table of his study next door, where Salah Muhammad al-Tubaigy, an autopsy expert, dismembered his body. Tubaigy was reportedly listening to music while dismembering and advising other people in the room to do the same, a Turkish source on the news website "Middle East Eye".

Saudi clears up any role in the disappearance, but several reports suggest that Saudi is preparing to say that Khashoggi's death was the result of a twisted questioning.

Since Khashoggi's disappearance, Kushner's close relationship with the Saudi crown prince has been the subject of intense investigation. Kushner, whose portfolio in the White House encompasses Middle Eastern affairs, was also the driving force behind Trump's decision to make Saudi Arabia the destination of his first overseas trip in May 2017.
