The defender announced that Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest during the raid.

President Donald Trump is expected to make an important announcement at 9:00 am Sunday, White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said. A government official told CNN that the announcement is related to foreign policy.

In February 2018, several US officials said Baghdadi had been wounded in an airstrike in May 2017 and had to take control of the terrorist group's custody for up to five months for its injuries.
Baghdadi became leader of the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) in 2010. In 2013, ISI announced the takeover of a militant group supported by Al Qaeda in Syria and Baghdadi said that its group is now known as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS).
White House officials were in preparation late Saturday night.
An official told CNN that the announcement would be made in the diplomatic reception room.
