Monday morning there were clashes in a refugee camp in the West Bank when Israeli troops sought a suspect in killing a soldier. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah said 13 people were slightly injured.
Residents of the al-Am'ari camp, located in Ramallah and al-Bireh province, threw stones at Israeli troops looking for the suspect. Israeli forces used the counterinsurgency response.
The incident after Staff Sgt. Ronen Lubarsky, a 20-year-old soldier of the Israeli elite unit Duvdevan, was laid to rest on Saturday night. He died on Saturday due to injuries sustained during a raid on the refugee camp where Palestinians dropped a heavy flagstone from the third floor of a building on his head.
The military said the raid on members of a cell involved in recent terrorist attacks and shootings against Israelis took place after intelligence data announced a wanted attack on the wanted men.
