London ready for new restrictions

London is preparing new restrictions for the second wave of Covid-19. In a speech to Parliament this morning (1:30 p.m. in Italy) and then to the nation, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will urge Brits to work from home if possible and impose new restrictions on pubs, bars and restaurants. “We know it won’t be easy, but we need to take further measures to control the recurrence of the virus,” said Johnson, after extracting from his remarks distributed in his Downing Street office. The restaurant business will be limited to table service only and pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries across England will have to close at 1

0pm. “One of the things we’re going to highlight is that people can work from home, we’re going to encourage them to do so,” Government Secretary Michael Gove told Sky News TV. “These are steps we were reluctant to take, but they are imperative because we have been told the rate of infection is increasing and the number of people going to the hospital is increasing so we need to take action,” said Gove . The schools remain open, be careful when doing sports.
