James Corden, the boy band member?
It seems that the 39-year-old late-night presenter may have missed his calling! During the Tuesday episode of The Late Late Show the comedian went to Las Vegas, Nevada to visit the Backstreet Boys during their Planet Hollywood residence.
However, he was not content to watch from the audience. Instead, Corden announced that he would take on one of the members – Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell or Howie Dorough – who would be selected by a blind vote.
"That's sweet, but James, we're the band, people come to Las Vegas to see us," Richardson, 46, tells Corden. "I do not know how they would feel if you were up there."
"How hard is it? What's a Backstreet Boy?" Corden is visibly annoyed and wonders. "It wears a fedora and dances on asphalt. I think I have it. "
Littrell, 43, does not seem interested in seeing Corden come in and exclaim," How do you think you'll be pulling tight jeans around this bum? "[1
After Littrell's comment, Corden temporarily decides to replace him in the Band [manipulating the blind vote] With the chosen member and standing cords, the Oceans 8 star rocked for his first rehearsal in a concert T-shirt and a black hat, while Littrell finds himself downcast
During the run, the band and cords practice being lifted off the platforms above the ground. "Nobody told me that! Shut up. Closed. Above! That was not clarified, "cries Corden nervously." … you do that in white, right? Well, that was a stupid decision, because I'll give myself the pants.
Next, Corden crashes the meet-and-greet and takes selfies Pictures for fans and even ruining some concert-goers' photos by standing in front of them in settings.
Es Finally, there's time for the show and Corden takes charge of leading the Pre-Concert prayer – which he fills with many references from Backstreet Boys.
"Dear Lord Heavenly Jesus, I know what you're thinking" What's Brian doing? there?" We think the same, "says Corden." Make us strong. Show us what it means to be lonely. Stop playing games with our hearts. Call us and know that everyone – I can not think of other Backstreet Boys songs … We want it that way. We want it that way!
The show starts with "Larger Than Life" and Corden fits right in, hits the choreography and nails his notes, but when Lattrell comes out half way through the song, Corden breaks away from the group and starts the worm and runs Man Dances.
Corden tries to leave the stage when the song ends, but Richardson tells him that there are still 22 songs to go. "Okay, then I left the band. I left the band, "explains Corden," I can not do 22 of them anymore. "
Even if it's not possible for Corden to be a boy band member in the long run, the late-night presenter still has Enough to keep him busy! Check out his latest "Carpool Karaoke" segment with Beatles legend Paul McCartney:
