Sammi's "Sweetheart" Giancola did not return for Jersey Shore Family Vacation but Ronnie Ortiz-Magro says it was not because of him.
ET's Katie Krause spoke with Ronnie when he promoted the show at Hyde Sunset in Los Angeles on Thursday, insisting he and Sammi get on well together.
"No bad blood," he said. "I support everything she does."
"I and Sammi have been finished for about three years. I did a single show, Famous Single, I had several relationships." We ended up being that's how it is, and they decided to carry on in a chapter of her life that did not select Jersey Shore "explained Ronnie." I voted Jersey Shore and we all support her as a group. "
What makes them happy makes them happy, "he continued," I can not judge them for that. "
Sammi took Instagram on Friday to share a message why she did not want to restart Jersey Shore and wrote that she is "in a completely different place in my life and now focuses on my business and relationships."
"I'm not the same person I was when I was 22," she said, "At the age of 31
Speaking to ET on Thursday, Deena Cortese said she was trying harder to get Sammi to join the show. "She's really happy, and she was nervous about coming back home and living with poison in the past," Deena said. "I get it."
"But we hope there will be a different format next time, so we hope she might come in. I'll keep trying," she added, before whispering about Sammi's relationship with her new boyfriend, Christian Biscardi. "She's so in love, I hope she's [going to get engaged soon]."
Ronnie is only a few days away from greeting his first child with his girlfriend Jen Harley, but he says he's not ready to put a ring on it.
"One step at a time, the next ring I'm going to buy her is a teething ring," he joked. "I feel that marriage puts a lot of pressure on some people … It's like that, when I love you, you love me, let's enjoy our lives."
Ronnie seemed to enjoy his life a little too much as he filmed Jersey Shore Family Vacation disintegrating over a possible fraud scandal teased in the trailer of the show.
"You'll see it all season, I'm in certain situations, no pun intended, but that's how you get out of the situation, it's what you end up doing and it's like you do certain things that you know you'll get reviews for, "he said.
"I said everything that happened [Jen]nothing happened that I can regret," he said. "You know, it does not happen … but in the end you know what's going on and what's really important."
Jersey Shore Family Vacation celebrates its premiere on April 5th at 8pm. ET / PT on MTV.
