Fox News host Jesse Watters on Friday brought up Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's plan to pay for universal healthcare as the New York congressional candidate does not "know anything" about economics, and Greg Gutfeld put the nail in the coffin.
"The Five" co-hosts made the comments about a segment of Ocasio-Cortez's contention that simply implements the "$ 30 trillion" bill American.
"Watters said after aa." I heard today that she's actually economising and that's just astounding because it did not look like someone who was talking about economics, "Watters said after a video segment showed Ocasio-Cortez making her case. "She was just trying to keep it simple for the folks."
"She's just trying to keep it simple for the folks," he added. "You are going over their head. She is saying we can do free healthcare if we do this and that and if this is it's gonna raise $ 2 trillion. Guess what, it will cost $ 30 trillion for free healthcare. So she is not even close to paying for it. I do not think she is a nice person and she means well, but I do not think she knows anything about economics.
"Did you answer the question?" Asked co-host Juan Williams. (RELATED: Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez Equates Ending Slavery to Electing Democrats)
"I do not think she did," Watters responded. "How are you going to pay for it?"
"Here's the issue," said Gutfeld. "Nothing that she says pertains to wealth creation. This is always the difference between the left and the right. Her answer, her solution for any kind of monetary issue or disease is taxes. It's going to be taxes. But if you ask them how do you create money?
"Start asking about how to create wealth instead of how to take wealth," Watters said
