RIO DE JANEIRO – Jessica Andrade will defend her UFC title against Weili Zhang in Shenzhen, China on August 31 The former 115-pound defending champion, who defeated the Brazilian in 2017 by a decision, recently admitted ESPN was not impressed by some of the training videos Andrade had posted on their social media.
Claudia Gadelha, who lost to her "Bate Estaca" later said to Helen Yee later this year that Andrade is so much stronger than her opposition that it's not fair that she's fighting against straw weight.

"She wants attention, she wants to persuade me to ask about this fight before the time comes, she has to eat more rice and beans, has to go there and earn her chance, there are others ahead of her." As for Gadelha's remarks that it's unfair to have Andrade below 115 pounders, the champion thinks that it's just nonsense.
"Weight is important, not strength." Andrade said with a laugh "But it's all good. If she has more victories than me to get another opportunity to fight the belt, why not? I would fight her again. "
