Jim Carrey, actor, comedian and Renaissance painter, has just submitted his first masterpiece.
Or, um, that's how people think on the internet. On Thursday, Jim Carrey sent his "official portrait" of Donald Trump via Twitter to the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. The portrait shows Trump sitting in his bathrobe and eating an ice cream cone that is very accurate, so he obviously has my voice.
"Dear Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery," wrote Carrey on Twitter. "I know it's early, but I want to submit this as an official portrait of our 45th President, Donald J. Trump, which says," You're screaming. I scream. Do we ever stop screaming? "
Carrey has a real eye for detail, between the orange folds of Trump's skin and the Nipple-esque cherries on his ice cream. I hoped to do it in the next few years of his reign, without being forced to look at his stocky chest hair, but here we cry.
Check out some of Carrey's earlier work, including this charmer by Sarah Huckabee Sanders and another presidential miracle.
Did somebody watch 60 minutes last night? The hell of a play about a poor kid from Greece named Giannis Antetokounmpo, who makes it big in the NBA. America still has some magic. Too bad you have to wade through so much cultural sewage to find it. pic.twitter.com/H4BTPcw8bu
