Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel, known for not despising Donald Trump, rejoined the president on Monday in response to the government's stoppage.
Kimmel decided to reach some of the federal agencies employees who work without pay and give them a job.
Monday brought Kimmel John Kostelnik, a jailer from the Federal Correctional Complex in Victorville, to his show in Hollywood.
"I wanted to do our part to get involved, so tonight and every night we'll use a federal employee for the show to a standstill," Kimmel said as he brought Kostelnik to the stage. The comedian was worried when he found out that Kostelnik was a jailer.
"So nobody looks at the jail now?", Joked, but Kostelnik assured him there were a thousand other officers in jail. [1
"Absolutely," Kostelnik said.
At the end of the section, Kimmel invited the prison guards to a tambourine and joined the show's band.
