the legend campaigning for criminal justice reform said the prison is not always the answer to any mistake. The bigger problem is that people are locked up for everything.
The legend cited the example of a woman detained for sending her child to the wrong school district and another who was accidentally sentenced to five years vote if she was ineligible. He argued that these women should not be in jail.
"I understand why everyone gets angry when the rich person X gets a short sentence and the poor person of color Y gets a long one The answer is not that X gets more but both get less (or even none) !!!) We should not go upstairs, "he tweeted.
"Americans are desensitized to how much we imprison people, and prisons and prisons are not the answer to all the bad things that everyone does, but we will use them to tackle almost all societal diseases."
Huffman is the first parent to be convicted in a licensing fraud where rich parents paid large sums to bring their children to respected schools.
In addition to two weeks in prison, the star "Desperate Housewives" was sentenced to one year supervisor's release and 250 hours of community service. She was also fined $ 30,000.
"I broke the law, I have admitted that and plead guilty to this crime, there are no excuses or justifications for my actions, period," Huffman said in the statement.
She must report to prison on October 25 to serve her sentence.
